Kindred does not score compatibility from questionnaires, because research shows those scores do not predict real attraction. Instead: a short dealbreaker filter removes structurally impossible pairs, behavioural signals and reciprocity modelling rank the rest, and follow-ups on real outcomes teach the system what actually works. Infinite swiping exists to maximize time in app, which is the incumbent business model, not yours. Kindred sends curated, finite introductions. When there is someone worth meeting, you hear about them; when there is not, the app leaves you alone.

It is used for two things: notifying you about launch, and counting registrations by city so we know where to launch next. It is never sold or shared, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time. The privacy notice has the details.

Identity verification for every member before matching begins, human-reviewed at launch scale. In-app reporting, active moderation, and a documented incident-response protocol operate from the first closed alpha onward.

Registered charity status in Canada brings tax-receipted donations but also constraints that do not fit a membership platform. Kindred is taking the same path Wikipedia did for years: a not-for-profit that asks for voluntary support without issuing tax receipts, and is upfront about exactly that.

Join the waitlist and bring one person with you: pool density is the single thing that matters most right now. A crowdfunding campaign is planned around launch for those who want to fund the mission directly, and donations will be possible from launch onward.
